The bullet entered behind the right shoulder and exited behind the left shoulder leaving a silver dollar sized exit wound. Both lungs sustained massive injury and the chest was filled with blood.
With the organs removed from the chest, one can see the entrance wound through the ribs on the deer's right side and the exit wound on the left. It also appears that a chunk was taken out of the spinal column as well.
This is the first time I have used the Sierra GameKing bullet. I am pleased with its performance and would not hesitate to use it for future deer hunting.
My Gunsite Scout Rifle has proven itself up to the task and I find it entirely satisfactory.
I used my new EDC-4 knife to field dress the deer.
